KP Uniting offers a warehouse op shop experience right next to the Ring Road junctions. Lots of pleasantly curated clothes and household items in clean condition. Despite the size there is no furniture. Not junky, but as such no bargain bins...hit the Glenroy store for their reductions. Limited parking out back.
Great little opp shop. Staff are friendly and happy to take donations. This will be my come to for donations and shopping. Keep up the great work guys
My interaction with Sam was delightful, and they offered me suggestions on which Op Shops to explore next as I was making a day of it. As I was using Google Maps to get me from shop to shop in unfamiliar territory, this location had me driving around the block before finding it hiding amongst the servo and other shops entrance 😆 Only then did I spot the sign on the wall that lead you down the lane way. Prices were OK, middle of the road. Nice stock though.
Disappointed with my first and final visit. After being recommended by another op shop locally, I visited with my mother and 2 year old daughter. We were visiting from Brisbane. My daughter was playing with the toys in the children’s section and I was always less than 4 meters from her. She was excited to buy an Easter egg toy to put her jewellery in. I unzipped a children’s suitcase for her to play with - she packed some bits and pieces in it whilst I browsed the children’s clothing. A worker started picking up toys my daughter had played with and left on the ground next to her. I said to her ‘Oh you don’t have to do that I was going to pick that up’. She ignored me or did not hear me. My daughter then got upset the worker took away the Easter egg she wanted. Worker asked ‘Were you going to buy that?’ I replied ‘Yes, we were’. She said ‘That’s ok but you didn’t have to hide it’ to a 2 year old!! I was absolutely gobsmacked. She then said to another worker, possibly her Manager, ‘It’s sustained some damage’ referring to the suitcase my daughter had played with. I saw some damage to the zip of the bag at the bottom. My daughter hadn’t used the zip, as she doesn’t know how, and only I had unzipped it. It must have already been damaged. My daughter was in tears so we left the items we were going to purchase behind and left the store as I was no longer comfortable supporting such behaviour. How unprofessional and inappropriate to accuse a 2 year old of ‘hiding’ a toy (perhaps insinuating she was going to steal it?) and also insinuating she broke an item. My daughter hours later is still upset about the incident. I left feeling upset and insulted. What a shame. I hope the staff member can reflect on her behaviour and improve for the sake of the charity.
Stars for the customer service, everyone was lovely and welcoming! Super friendly staff are always appreciated. Prices are a let down though. Found several items with defects in them. Used shoes shouldn’t be so pricey. Men’s section limited. Great book selection.
