Mark your calendars — Saturday 17 October is World Op Shop Day! It’s a day to celebrate the power of second-hand and the important role op shops play in sustainability, community support and charity funding. Most importantly, it’s a chance for us to say thank you to our wonderful customers, donors and supporters. Everything we do is possible because of YOU — our beautiful Helping Hands community! We’ve got plenty of fun things planned at our McIntosh Street store, so come along and celebrate with us!
Updates from this shop
The Rummage Room has become a much-loved part of our Airport West Op Shop, creating a space where our community can find clothing for their families, discover treasures for creative projects, and enjoy the fun of searching through items that may have otherwise been overlooked. The community’s response has blown us away! We’ve loved seeing so many people embrace this unique space and appreciate the opportunity to give these donations a second life. We’re now very proud to be able to say that 20 tonnes (that’s 20,000kgs!!) worth of clothing, linen, shoes, and bags have been able to find new homes through our Rummage Room! That’s equivalent to 4 fully-grown male African elephants, or 12 medium-size cars, or 40 filled skip bins - what a huge environmental win!
It’s school holidays! And we have lots of fun lined up at our McIntosh Street op shop

Amazing service, with so much compassion, empathy, godbless all that are a part of this support network/service. I personally dnt know what i would have done if these services werent available when at need.
Beside roadworks today what a great experience and location. Best pricing on sets of table and glassware and clothing. Plenty in plus size, women's and men's, shoes and a limited range of kids clothing. Lots of large furniture, bedding and a great vintage and craft section. Staff was helpful. Parking was easy and trolley is outside before the door I definitely quickly retired my basket quickly. New with tags clothing section was nice too and the kids are looks amazing. Plenty of great pricing and range for everything you could imagine scored some great bargains today and will be back many time in the future. Worth the drive for me for sure highly recommend a visit
