Great little op shop friendly staff, decent prices

Great shop with good prices and they even gave me a discount at checkout.

I want to share how refreshing it’s been to shop at the Pooraka op shop. As a mum of two young toddlers, it’s not always easy finding places where we feel truly welcome—but this store has been an exception. Some of the staff here I remember from the old Parafield Salvos, and they’ve always been kind, approachable, and understanding. It’s such a relief to walk into a store and not be met with judgement or glares just because I have young children who can be a little noisy or curious. The team here creates a genuinely welcoming and relaxed environment, which makes a big difference for families like mine. The pricing is also very reasonable—much better than many of the other Salvos and op shops in the area. It’s clear that this store values accessibility and community support, which I really appreciate. Thank you to the team at Pooraka for making secondhand shopping a positive experience. We’ll definitely continue coming back!

Wow.....haven't visited for awhile, decor totally changed up, more space it seemed, loads of stock, grabbed a few bargains as always.....love this place and the prices are really low

This place is cavernous. Huge selection of womens clothing, shoes, wedding dresses with an even further discounted section out the back. There is also a good selection of sturdy second hand furniture. Well worth a visit.
