I had recently done a declutter and took a full car load of good clothing and homewares to be donated at the store. As it was a lot of bags, I was told to drive to the back of the store to offload. When I got there, I was told by a guy that they were not accepting donations. He was very unfriendly and kept insisting he couldn't give us a tub to put our stuff in. I then replied by asking if we could drive to the front and put some bags in the red bins. He replied rudely by saying "if you put the bags into the red bins at the front, I will personally take them out of the bins and put them back into your car". I have never come across a charity organisation that not only refuses to take your donation during opening hours but also have people working/volunteering there who are so unhelpful and rude. Who would have thought I would be treated like this!!

Insanely expensive. Re print second hand paintings for $200, furniture that is damaged for over $100, clothes prices are through the roof, used handbags are all upwards of $20, bric a brac over $100, dinner sets $100 and up. The shop is full to the brim of stock that is treated poorly and piled high in trolleys. No wonder you can’t sell anything. You get these donations for free, and you’re pricing them so high that even the middle class can’t afford it. Do better.

For a store that’s meant to benefit those less fortunate, clothing being sold second hand at brand new prices is a little ridiculous. They are selling Kmart brand anko second hand for more than it is brand new in Kmart. An example, the shirt in the photo attached is being sold for $7 when in store brand new it is $3. The pants $15 second hand when in store at Kmart last week were $6 brand new. I also noticed they were selling second hand Kmart tank tops for $10 when in store they’re $2 brand new. I normally don’t shop in this store but was passing some time before an appointment across the road.

Found some great books, women’s clothes, craft items and baby clothes (3 items for &4 - Ralph Lauren, Country Road and Pumpkin Patch). Large range of furniture also here.

I've been using these guys to donate stuff and they could have not been more helpful. Someone was always available to give me a hand to get donations out of my car and help me load it into the stillages that they use. Thanks very much Salvos and the people that volunteer to help them.
