About this shop

The Tōtara network's flagship — a huge ex-wholesaler floor merchandised like a gift store, vintage woven through the displays, designer labels in their own corner (The Second Edition). Presentation is the one thing every reviewer below mentions, love it or not; expect middle-of-the-road prices, not steals. This is the op shop to bring a sceptic to.

Interesting stuff spotted today: whole racks of new clearout jerseys. They organise by colour and have size coathangers, so it’s a really lovely shopping experience. Prices reasonable

The flagship. A cavernous ex-wholesaler site, styled like a gift store rather than an op shop — racks organised by colour then size, the rest arranged in styled settings, with vintage scattered through the vignettes rather than corralled into one corner. Strong on women's clothes, furniture, kitchenware and kids' stuff, plus The Second Edition — a shop-within-a-shop for designer labels at the $30-plus mark.

There's a café on site, a whole area for magazines, and a big receiving dock around the back that keeps turnover constantly high — this site doubles as the South Auckland distribution hub for the other Tōtara shops. Pricing is mid rather than bargain, but this is the shop you could take anybody to and they'd walk out happy. Anchor of the Takanini trio, and strong enough to visit on its own.

This shops presentation is absolutely amazing, quality of clothes and brands are reasonable. I recommend highly. Customer service also lovely,

It was my 1st time visiting your new store today but unfortunately will also be the last time. There has been too much focus on displaying and curating the stock (donations) making the best items NFS (not for sale) or 'Display Only' . As a customer I want to be able to purchase them not just look at them! Back to basics team get the stock sold so you can support Hospice in the best possible way! Side note: If any of the items I donated to your store were kept for display/decor purposes I would be extremely disappointed and probably ask for them back.

The price is either for most things is 4 or 8 dollars! Feels like retail shop instead of hospice. Beautiful set up and great variety. I used to love going there but now I can see stuff is not changing due to overprice! Before it used to be better!

Beautiful open layout, nicely organized, wish there was more bigger girl sizes and more bric brac items but overall gorgeous work!

Have always driven past but never stopped to visit until today & I was blown away!! Amazing set up & loved how things were colour coordinated. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Went for the first time today & walked out with a bargain (new dining table & chairs) perfect addition to our new home. A very happy customer. Would go back for more :)
