Love Savers Preston. Massive store with well arranged sections. Plenty of self-help checkouts and helpful staff on hand. Good parking out the front too
Went to Savers in Preston today. It's huge. Make sure you give yourself a couple of hours to wander around. I thought there weren't enough change rooms. Not very well planned considering clothes are the main stay of the business. Evident from the queue of about 8 or more people waiting to try on clothes, and they had lots of clothes to try on. Saw people putting clothes back in a heap as they couldn't be bothered waiting. That was the downside of my shopping experience. Some items were excessively expensive for what they were. An example was $4-$6 for empty alcohol bottles. Something i did take notice of, after hearing a lady saying it, that many brand name runners, handbags and purses, were expensive considering they were dirty, stained and not great condition. But in saying that, there was heaps of clean and good to great condition items throughout the store. I did purchase some great items and because of the lovely young lady that served me, I got 20% off my total. And I must say that the staff were very friendly and more than happy to assist the crowd of people with their queries. I will definitely shop there again while I'm in Melbourne.
Good cheap stuff that needs a new home. It's get five stars except the poor selection of any older electronics and vinyl plus people breaking the glasswear frequently take the extra star away. They just need a little more pride in their store and what they contribute to the community to lift this store to s five star.
45 minute wait just to get into the change rooms on such a hot day with no aircon or even airflow in such a big store is unacceptable. Staff are lovely and deserve to be working in better conditions as do customers. Provide more change rooms and stop scrimping on keeping the place comfortable. Of course there's no toilets for customers. A place this big should be providing amenities. I won't be shopping or donating to this place anymore
