The store was clean and well organised. I was disappointed to see empty Nescafe jars priced at $3 each ($1 for the small one). While someone may still find them useful, these are empty food containers rather than second-hand household goods. In my opinion, $3 seems poor value when new glass storage containers can be purchased for only a couple of dollars more. I understand that op shops have overheads and are for a good cause, but I worry that pricing decisions like this contribute to the perception that some op shops are losing the affordability that many people depend on.
For a Vinnies this one is quite large, making the amount of second hand goods to looks through an experience you can spend a good afternoon on. My only suggestion would be that it needs better air conditioning. I went on a super hot day, and the inside of that store wasn't much better than outside in the heat.
Rude Staff member. Parked in back Carpark, walked around to use the front door. We were stopped and told we could use the back door, which I thought was lovely of her until we'd gone to have a look at Salvos and were berated for using customer parking because she had needed all of the 6 car spaces that were empty at that moment. Let me remind you (because i know you'll read this) You work at an op shop. oh sorry, you actually VOLUNTEER. You are volunteering to be rude and play petty power moves when opportunity arises for you. Let that sit with you before you berate customers about customer parking again.
Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, and you can sometimes find really great bargains.
I like how they organise the clothings by colour and the sizing was obvious, too. Love their clearance and discounts! Not only selling second hand stuff, there were new stuff as well.
