Customer service by one person in particular, is consistently so rude. Literally stopped coming here despite it being a good opshop, because of the staff. How can someone who despises talking to the public work in a retail job,?

This place is large and well-stocked. An array of things on offer at reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

Normally I love coming into these op shops and finding goodies and giving back but today, my older sister was treated like garbage for trying to do the right thing by this vinnies store. A lady was bringing in some donations and my sister saw this beautiful plate she wanted to buy. She asked one of the volunteers if she could ask if it could be priced so she could buy it but she was met with awful customer service by the manager and was told off for trying to buy it, saying “we don’t do that here, so you can’t have it.” It was disgraceful and on top of that, the same lady who donated stuff offered for my sister to look at her wares before she brought them into the store because she was disgusted by the way my sister was spoken too. The manager who told my sister off originally then proceeded to tell her off more for taking things from the ladies boot, even though the lady offered the stuff to my sister. This is disgustingly disrespectful and we will no longer be going to this store.

I used to love this Vinnies when I first moved to norlane because it was actually affordable, but lately the prices (especially clothes) have gone up a lot. I saw a SHEIN item priced at $10 which is actually cheaper brand new. Same with Kmart items being priced close to retail. It’s really hard when people rely on op shops because they can’t afford new clothes and the prices are almost the same. And I also find it strange to pay that much for 2nd hand clothing.

The overall store experience was great. Good layout and very tidy. However, when I went to purchase my items there was no one at the counter so waited a couple of minutes for the cashier. I didn’t know if anyone saw me there so I rang the bell on the counter. I was greeted with attitude and very cold customer service from the volunteer. I’m assuming because I disturbed what she was doing. Coming from a customer service background, it’s really disappointing that this is how I was treated. If you don’t want people to ring the bell, take it off the counter.
