Lifeline Shop Beenleigh

The new set of glass from kmart is $5. The same used set was being sold for $8. New Kmart baby 5 onesie set ($15) is $2.50 each. The same but used onesie was being sold for $2.50. Set of dinner plates is $8 for 4 plates at kmart. It was being sold $3 each plate meaning $4 more than actual price. Whoever decides the price, why is it called op shop? Do you ever think about it? Have donated heaps and heaps of stuff here from kitchen stuff to suitcases and what not. I regret giving you guys anything as i know you would’ve ripped people off of my stuff

I have spent many hours and spent many $$$ at Bethania Lifeline store which l love....but...on donating 8 large boxes of homewards and good clothing plus books and a wheelie walkers recently l was very annoyed with the poor attitude the young woman in the black frilly bottomed dress showed at the receiving door..getting narky as we weren't putting all this into appropriate crates. I don't work here as she was supposed to be doing so sweetheart loose the attitude and be grateful people donate. What you should of done is said " Thankyou" please just stack the boxes here and we here at Lifeline are pleased with your donation. Not get cranky as you thru the books into a bin like they were contaminated..Rude Much.

Today at around 1:20 PM, I took a ute full of donations to the Lifeline shop. Unfortunately, the staff member at the warehouse was incredibly rude. Rather than appreciating the effort and generosity behind the donations, she began aggressively tossing everything into stillages. She dismissed perfectly good items by saying, “This is rubbish, that’s rubbish—take it back.” Her attitude was demeaning, as if we were trying to sell her junk. It was upsetting to be treated like that, especially considering Lifeline is meant to support people who can't afford to buy brand new goods. It’s unrealistic to expect pristine, store-new items to be donated. We were left feeling humiliated and disappointed. We ended up donating the remaining items to the Salvos in Marsden, where the staff welcomed us warmly with smiles and appreciation. They accepted the same items without any judgment and thanked us sincerely. I won’t be returning to the Lifeline shop unless they hire staff who understand the importance of kindness and gratitude—and unless they receive proper training on how to treat donors respectfully. Receiving second-hand items is part of the mission. Basic manners should be, too. I myself worked in Redcross donation shop in Darwin for 5 years I know difference between rubbish and Donations.

Found some great deals and some fantastic books to fill my collection in. What's odd is the (volunteer??) cashier who felt the need to say "I would've priced this higher" on over 50% of my items. And was particularly off about a cool find of mine that "was definitely too cheap." Can email me for dates and times if required.

It has only been open 6 weeks at my time of visit. Lovely neat, clean new store. It has in parts been set up quite nicely, and in others, it appears that it requires more stock or it's been a little neglected. Good range of clothing for all. Men, women & children. Various other stock in many categories to look through. Pricing is a bit whack in some of it, but this is the issue with these larger op shop chains. Plenty of parking. They do have a lovely range of stock, though.
