I've been there 4 times, and everytime staff there were very welcoming and gave me extra discounts. It's my go to place for cloths and some appliances.

Good range and generally well organised, but I had a very odd interaction with a staff member today. I picked up two items marked $1 each, and at the register was told they “shouldn’t be that price.” The conversation escalated into me being drawn into an internal pricing error between staff, including comments that items could be withdrawn from sale at the marked price. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily intense and confusing for me as a customer - as all I was doing was buying items at a marked price. It was quite a jarring experience and not what I’d expect from a routine visit.

if i could put 0 stars i would, this charity have absolutely disgusted me with their behaviour, i lost my phone in the salvos and the lady’s there were useless. they thought it was funny when i was having a panic attack in the store and wouldn’t check the cameras until a shopper came and said it wouldn’t even have taken 5 minutes. never returning absolutely disgusting!!

We’ve always supported the Salvation Army and have donated many good household items over the years because we believe in helping the community. Unfortunately, our recent experience at the Molendinar Salvation Army store (Saturday, 25 October 2025 around 4:15pm) left us very disappointed. A staff member there treated us with obvious suspicion and disrespect. From the moment we entered, her attitude suggested she assumed we were doing something wrong — as if we might be changing or removing price tags, or even trying to steal. We were simply asking about the prices of 2 small items, including a kid’s key ring and a vase that already had a price on it. Instead of responding politely, she was abrupt, dismissive, and gave the impression that we didn’t belong there. It felt like we were being judged based on our appearance rather than our intentions. This behaviour completely goes against the values the Salvation Army stands for — kindness, inclusion, and community support. I truly hope the management addresses this issue and ensures that all customers are treated with respect by this particular staff at this Salvos Molendinar Store, regardless of how they look, their nationality, or what they can afford. This woman’s behaviour exhibited is completely unacceptable, and as a result, she's not suitable for employment with Salvos.

Bought my daughter in here today looking for some furniture. Was given a price for couch. Went to pay for it, and the ladies decided to double the price. Pointed at another couch in the opposite direction and said she was talking about that couch. I had a look at all the couches and not one of them had the price we were told. Was told she will come and tell us the new price when they have it. After some time walked over to couch and they had put new price on it and said nothing. Then when paying for the cloths we got. Asked if they are the price that was on them. Was rudely told of cause they are l, to be charged a different price again. Would not recommend shopping there unless you would like to be ripped off.
