Great staff, good selection, excellent prices.
The problem with this store is they’ve lost touch with reality and Australians struggling with inflation. Vinnie’s SA please investigate why my donations are not making it to the floor. I have no issues with the Scanlan Theodore clothing being purchased by the volunteer. However, I want others to get this opportunity too. The previous manager was walking out with donated bags as you can read below, please make sure this isn’t happening again. I have paused all my donations to Vinnie’s at this stage. Also, as mentioned below by others ,the toffee nosed woman dressing the mannequins needs a bit of training on how to speak politely to customers. The volunteers other than this one are absolutely helpful and incredible. The one dressing the mannequins is so rude.
The staff are so lovely, wonderful selection and very reasonably priced!!
I’ve noticed a huge decline at Vinnies Norwood over the past year. The pricing has become really inconsistent, with low-end to mid-range brands like David Lawrence, Veronika Maine and Country Road being marked up as if they’re premium, while some high-end pieces (like an unworn Max Mara suit I found for $40) slip through underpriced. When I’ve tried to question the pricing, staff have been quite defensive rather than open to feedback, which makes the experience uncomfortable. The “designer” rack is misleading—most of it is not designer. The dumbness is laughable. There’s also been a noticeable drop in quality and variety. They used to have beautiful crystal and homewares, but that’s pretty rare now. Overall, it used to be a great spot, but lately it’s just not an enjoyable shopping experience.
Have some good finds but they charge highly, $20 - $100 not unheard of. The Parade West is becoming Adelaide's Vintage Portobello, 4 new Vintage shops added to Parade in 6 weeks...so there's interesting strategies developing. Decked out really well. Staff much nicer now.
