Love this place, lots of choice and heaps of things to look at. Have been a customer for years and have found some real treasures Well done.
Staff are polite and helpful, prices are amazing, clean and tidy and well organised. I recently got 4 pairs or jeans for $7 each, which is amazing compared to other stores. I got those along with a bunch of other items and all in perfect quality ♡ will return many many many more times 🌷 ty!
PROS: Love the staff here, good large selection and great prices that people can afford and actually get some good bargains, and we have always felt happy donating here (often!) because of that CONS: They've recently changed. Less options and prices hiking. Apparently it's head-office decisions (typical, non-locals interfering as if they know better). If they keep hiking prices, we likely won't donate here anymore. Not happy with lining their pockets when it's supposed to be a CHARITY to help those in need. **And note to you head office people, remember this is all based on kind people DONATING and VOLUNTEERING. Stay humble. Don't get greedy.
Pros: Honestly amazing place price wise and item variety etc I visit here very often and ALWAYS find bargains! No junk! Excellent music playing too! Cons: Though always friendly and lovely humans, the serve staff are extremely slow. There's almost always a line up to check out and only one register. Couple that with slow staff and it's very frustrating. I do understand and appreciate they're volunteers but they definitely need a second register!! 💖
Had a terrific experience out at the Salvos store Beenleigh today. Well out of our usual area (southside of Brisbane) and we found the prices, service, and selection to be exceptional. Loads of volunteers working, all the racks well organised and clean and tidy. Clean, private fitting rooms for trying on clothes, and a great selection at half price. Ended up buying half a dozen pieces of clothing; a fantastic, brand new pair of genuine Doc Marten 8 hole boots ($6); a ball of yarn for 50c; a Decor steel travel mug for $4; and a new pair of reading glasses for less than five dollars. My only complaint would be the temperature in store. Steaming hot around the walls of clothing and shoes and bags. Really only ventilated in the centre where the furniture is. Which made it a convenient place to stop and listen to great music while the teenager tried on clothes! We were there after lunchtime, but apparently they have a sausage sizzle on the first Saturday of the month from 10:30 am. I also noticed a sign saying they have free clean/dry sleeping bags for anyone who needs one. I think that’s exceptional. Certainly not something I’ve seen locally.
