Great new space for Vinnies since moving from Sumner Park. Very spacious clean and bright store. Some pricing was rather excessive eg Ladies simple blouse $80. Other pieces were worth the marked price. I have visited the times now. Still maintaining a spacious store. They seem to be concentrating on better quality products. I wanted a one off wide mouth wine glass for a specific project but they only display and sell sets. IfI want a set Kmart or Big W have better options at the same price. Sometimes Op shops are also for the odds and ends you need. This is a good shop. ... .. however..How many more are going this way... leaving opportunity out of the Opportunity Shop. They had some special that were different this time. No doubt they will keep including some seasonal specials as time goes on. Vinnies at Sumner Park will continue to be a collection and sorting centre but will no longer have a retail outlet. This store at Richlands is the replacement. Plenty of free parking out front. Next door to a new Lifeline Shop and across from Reddy Fuel. Located off the road just down from the Forest Lake roundabout. As with most charity shops... the place gets busy then the service is very slow at the checkout . This can be very difficult for those who just drop in and have other appointments. Staff are happily taking time that perhaps others don't have. Notable as Op Shop prices are no longer necessarily a bargain and expect certain standards from customers.
Great size and location. The staff were so kind and looked happy to be volunteering. I spent about $50 on clothes and DVDs, and was happy with all the individual prices. Will be coming back ☺️
Very clean and large store. Well lit and organised. Lots of parking available. Most clothes aren't sorted by size, however jeans are. Prices are higher than they should be, all shirts being at least $12 unless Kmart / Shein. The bras are abnormally expensive ($10 - $40). They also sell underwear (even if it's brand new, it's not in any packaging), which doesn't seem hygienic.
Very overpriced. If you want retail prices, got to a retail shop. They're asking $300 for a round dinner table. I questioned the price, the clerk said it was a $1000, marble top table, to which I said so damm what, it was donated. It should be $50. He proceeded to defend the $300 price tag, to which I politely walked out, never to return
Big thank you to all the team, they care about the community and take pride in their store. Their kindness and positive energy make shopping here an absolute pleasure. Vinnies wouldn’t be the same without them huge credit to the amazing staff and volunteers, It’s rare to find a store where the people make such a big difference, but the team here really does. Their attitude alone is worth five stars. Highly recommend!!!
