Vinnies Redbank Plains

I see it with this Vinnie's an the one at Springfield. The prices are too high and no one buys stuff, to make these types of shops work you need to price low and keep stock flowing through otherwise you end up with a shop with no customers and stock sitting months overpriced. More money for charity will be made doing it this way. How are they not realising they are running the shops into the ground

This is not an op shop at all went to purchase a fire truck toy for the kindy play area and they had $30 on it... looked at the other toys they also had similar price tags!! Went across the road to target purchased one fot $12 brand new. Clothing also had $25 dollar tags on it for dresses which were not high end labels most items are way over priced! Need to remember who you are vinnies your def not helping people in need with those prices shame on you for being so greedy...

Very overpriced op shop. Can’t snag a good bargain because of this. They list any dress that is new with tags so high, it might as well not be an op shop. They currently have a dress in there by Colette Mon Cheri for $120- they’ve written on the tag it’s RRP is $800, yet none of the dresses on their website are even over $550… and the dress they have is only $375. It’s not much of an opportunity shop as other Vinnies that’s for sure.

The 2 stars are for a couple of lovely ladies who work there, and the effort they put into presenting their items.. but the prices are outrageous, hence not giving more stars. There are dresses in there for $40. Nothing that special. You could probably get the item cheaper on a sale from the store brand new! They are not a boutique store, they are a charity store run by a religious organisation for the community. To be fair, every Vinnies I’ve been in has grossly overpriced their items. It’s just disappointing. As this is my local Op shop I will likely continue to check in every now and again as I 100% support buying second hand whenever possible, so I will still support them over buying brand new, but I will also try to buy secondhand elsewhere wherever possible. I have not seen any other religiously run Op shops price the way they do, most of them are awesome. Again, MOST of the workers seem wonderful, so no shade to them. I don’t know who comes up with the prices at Vinnies.

This is a good clean opshop. Looked a but sparse on my last visit. It's good quality but not a rummaging store for creative's. More of a boutique style store with good business and casual clothes. The menswear section is well stocked. The shop windows were empty this time but in the past they've had nice displays. The book section is sorted into colours all topics are mixed together fiction and non fiction, its cute to look at but is completely usless if you're looking for a topic like gardening. We did have a strange incident at this store when returning a purchase, you can get store credit but not a refund which is normal across Vinnies. The problem was they didn't have a procedure and the woman serving us said everyone does it different, she would just give us back the receipt as store credit. This made absolutely no sense so I asked her to sign it as proof of credit and return of stock.
