Sometimes you can always buy what you need here. I also donate clothes at this place.🙈I go to other branches too but I like this one best

Bit up there in price foe all clothing. Quite a clean store, not huge but seems to have a bit of foot traffic. Parking infront of store is small but large car park a couple shops down.

I was disappointed to see a stack of "Oracle" cards on the counter for sale when last in the store. The salvos are supposed to be a Christian organisation and I dont think they should be selling anything promoting the occult.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Tim at Salvos Canning Vale I just wanted to take a moment to share my deep gratitude for an incredible human—Tim. Tim has recently stepped into the role of manager at Salvos Canning Vale, a position he wholeheartedly deserves. I first met Tim a couple of years ago when my daughter was dancing at the school next door. Naturally, I’d pass the time by indulging in a bit of op shopping—because, let’s be honest, if you’re a true thrifter, walking past an op shop without going in is nearly impossible! From our very first meeting, Tim stood out. When I asked his name, he asked for mine in return—something small but rare. And from that moment on, every time I walked through the doors, he greeted me by name and remembered our conversations. Over time, he got to know my 10-year-old daughter (a fellow thrifting enthusiast) and even heard the stories of my mum—our struggles with her dementia, the difficulty of moving her into a nursing home, and the weight of it all. He met her, too. As a personal stylist, I’m always on the lookout for unique pieces for myself and my clients. Tim would always go the extra mile, keeping an eye out for specific finds. Without fail, the next time I’d visit, he had something special waiting—whether it was a rare fashion piece for me, doll clothes for my daughter, or books for my mum. Every so often, I bring Mum in to see him. She never remembers him, but that never matters—because Tim always has one of her favorite books waiting, usually something by the Dalai Lama. And in those moments, she smiles. Tim, thank you. The warm, welcoming space you’ve created in your store is something special. You go above and beyond, not just when we’re there, but even when we’re not. It’s rare to find someone in customer service with your kindness and genuine care. For those who love a good op shop, Salvos Canning Vale is truly one of Perth’s best—not just because of the incredible finds (many of my favorite outfits are from there!) but because of Tim. The store is beautifully set up, thoughtfully organised, and free from overwhelm. It’s a true hidden gem. So, if you’re in the area, stop by, say hi to Tim, and experience the magic for yourself.
