The most overpriced thrift shop in the Illawarra. I saw a Kmart cup there that was more expensive than a new one at Kmart. Found a tea pot that was $4 cheaper than a new one and they wouldn't budge on price. These are just two examples out of the 100.
I love op shops especially this one as I found 3 decent quality juggling balls for only $3. A lot of other items seem inexpensive too.
I normally enjoy visiting this op shop, but lately, it has declined. I've cut back on visiting to about once a month. I tend to see the same items time after time, and there is barely anything new. I visited about two weeks ago and one of female staff members was rude. After purchasing an item, I noticed a jewellery basket on the counter. I asked the male staff member if I could look through the items. He happily obliged - just to clarify I have no issue with him. He always provides great customer service. As I looked through the jewellery the female staff member came to the counter. She pulls the basket away from me, sighs, and says "I was just about to put this out on display." Oh, I'm sorry for being an inconvenience to you. Seriously, is that how you treat a customer? It's quite ridiculous. You have a customer interested in some items. But you're so focused on putting it on display... Rather than potentially selling something right now?! No wonder this store is not getting rid of old items.
Great op shop. The staff are very friendly and there is a decent selection and reasonable prices. Picked up some clothes, shoes and stationary. People before us spent $82 and $45 which is a good sign of a good op shop. Definitely come and visit again next time we are in the area.
