Overall vibe of the shop is quite low. There's a grumpy old man who refuses to greet you and just wants you to pay and leave.

If I could give this shop a 0 star review, I would be more than happy to with my experience. We’re in Woolloongabba for a day trip and we like to op shop. We found Vinnies and gave it a go. Driving into the carpark which is shared with shops around it was extreme but we got a park. We had seen someone donate a pair of boots that I had really liked. We went into the shop and asked the fella at the front counter if the boots that came in just now were for sale. He got the boss to come out, the first thing I saw was that she was pretty well wrapped in designer. She mentioned that Vinnies doesn’t really do that but she will see what she can do. She walked into the staff only area leaving us out in the shop waiting about 5-10 minutes and then proceeds to walk over to us with her phone out in her hand with a sold eBay listing of the boot and then mentions that Vinnies will have to sell the boots for $150.00 to compete with the sold listings…. I thoroughly believe that Vinnies have lost the meaning of “charity” or “op shop” and have resulted in being a high end retail rip-off. Same goes for their clothing, $25 for a Kmart long sleeved shirt??? Do better.

WRAP’s Review★★★★April 2024

Month of visit: April 2024 I have visited several vinnies in Brisbane but only at this store i bought something because i found something interesting. Got a beautiful printed dress for $15, was very happy to found it but when arrived home i just realize that there was a torn in the fabric and they cellophane tape to cover it - dissapointing 😌

I can't help but feel the location of this shop is the contributing factor for the pricing alone. The pricing on most items was overpriced. They did have a huge range of stock though with women's wear being the most stocked. Parking was shared with neighbouring business, coco's, but I managed to find a park easily the day I visited.

I previously would visit this Vinnies store at Annerley every 6 weeks or so. I would pick up the odd useful kitchen item or reasonably priced piece of clothing. This isn't the case anymore! It has been a while since I've visited because the last 2 times the shop's pricing had got quite expensive. If you know your shopping you will notice many things you could buy in a shop, new, for less. I heard customers in the shop making this remark about objects that were overpriced. I was interested to see whether my visit would be any different but unfortunately no I don't think I will waste my time going back here again. Certainly they have a fairly large range because it's a large store. They particularly had lots of sets of DVDs, not so much in the way of kitchenware. The was plenty of clothes but pricey for what they were. I noticed the books were very, very expensive. For example, one small book $15. The cheapest book in the store was $5. The Vintage pieces also very expensive in terms of 100 or more dollars. Not my type of Charity store.
