Hornby
Choose Hornby for a compact five-stop charity-shop circuit.
Three shops share the Amyes Road address, with Vinnies and Hornby Community completing the pocket around Shands Road and Goulding Avenue.
Papanui
Choose Papanui for four charity shops around Northlands, with one other secondhand stop.
The five stops sit close together around Main North, Langdons, Restell and Harewood Roads, making this an easy circuit without a car.
Sydenham and central south
Choose Sydenham for a substantial mix of charity and other secondhand shops.
The tight Colombo and Buchan core widens to Salvation Army, St John and Habitat ReStore. The shops follow Colombo and Buchan Streets, with the largest group close to the city centre.
Waltham, Woolston and Ferrymead
Choose Ferry Road for a drive between three groups of shops.
Start around Inner Ferry and Ensors, stop again in Woolston village, then continue to the Ferrymead end. The nine stops do not form one continuous walk and include both charity and other secondhand shops.
North Canterbury
