Location is everything, small country towns with a low employment rate have the best opshops, not so in Daylesford where the Gucci set are prepared to buy expensive second hand items.
Vinnies Dayleford is quite dated in its offerings, yet at city prices. Product focus is on ladies fashion and china cabinet style kitchenwares. No kid's picture books at all. Sadly, not a lot to inspire a repeat visit...surprising given the competition.
Generally speaking, the staff are very friendly. I found a few really nice pieces of clothing that I've worn over and over! My only whinge is, I found a pair of sandals and they had good soles for a second hand pair. I slipped into the left one, and stupidly paid $8 for them. Got home and found that they had broken strap fixtures 😞. Staff hadn't checked them. Previous owner should've pointed out the flawed straps. I should take them back
A large range of second hand goods are available here. What's more, pricing is fair and reasonable (for example one product was way over priced i.e. more than new, so they changed the price). I much prefer this store than the "second hand department store" up the road!
