Red Cross Op Shop has forgotten what op shops are supposed to be. Donated goods priced like retail stock is ridiculous. Op shops used to help people save money — now it feels like they're taking advantage of them. Charity starts with affordability.
Very average op shop.
Staff/Volunteer inside shop on Sat 16th March were absolutely rude. I was fully aware shop was closed. Closed signed was out but I wanted to take a look through the windows as I had never been in this shopping complex before (aka window shopping as to whether I should return when they next open). I made no attempt to open the door but looked through window as I was walking past. Woman working in shop immediately comes to window and starts yelling at me ‘Go Away, we are closed’. I replied several times back to her ‘I’m not looking to enter your store, I can clearly see you are closed, I’m just looking through windows as it’s the first time I’ve been in this shopping complex.’ ‘Go away’ indeed as I’ll never return here again when they are open to shop. Horrible reaction from staff.
A treasure throve of bargins new and preloved. I have bought silk dresses, cashmere and merino wool knitware and shawls. It's North Haven's best kept secret but I have to share it as it deserves to be known.
I have purchased some wonderful clothes and knick-knacks here, including a bust of Beethoven. The staff are friendly and helpful.
