*Little charity shop on Smith St* An op-shop runs by the St Marks charity in the hip Fitzroy suburb. It opens 7days a week, which is a plus. Bargain hunting in op-shops often depends on a bit of luck. It's about being in the right place at the right time. Within this short stretch of road, there are several recycled goods operations, including a RedCross and a Cash Converters. At the far end of the road, there is a big Sallie too.
Best opportunity shop in the inner city. Wonderful helpful staff. Michael is such a lovely man. A great place to buy books and clothing.
There's generally some higher quality stuff there than your average op shop, but they also price significantly higher than op shop prices - halfway to what you'd pay at a vintage store.
I had the best experience at St. Marks today and found so many treasures!! I got two pairs of nice shoes, a mint condition La Bagagerie bag, sunglasses, and beautiful earrings. Don’t miss this spot when you’re in the neighborhood
