Red Cross Shop Collingwood on Smith Street is such a fun and rewarding op-shop to visit. This thrift store has plenty of books and clothing on the racks, making browsing feel like a treasure hunt every time. It sits right in front of a tram stop, which makes it super easy to get to if you’re exploring Smith Street or heading up from the city. Parking nearby can be limited, but that’s the trade off for its prime, convenient location. Inside the store you’ll find a wide variety of pre loved clothing and accessories in lots of styles. The book section is also impressive, with a big selection to flick through whether you’re after fiction, non fiction or something quirky to add to your shelf. The space feels welcoming and relaxed, and the knowledge that your purchases help support the Australian Red Cross makes every bargain feel good both for you and for the community.
The Australian red cross do such a great job with their stores, the volunteers are very friendly as well. You can donate clothes here as well.
It's... average. (I wish two-and-a-half stars was an option.) An op shop trying to be a vintage store, which translates to "occasionally over-priced stuff". Very small so rather limited in choices,. but like any outlet selling pre-loved merch you can strike it lucky and pick up something wonderful.
