Crazy high prices for an op shop. Didn’t see a staff member. No one else in the store. Vinnies next door is far more reasonable.
My partner visited the store today to drop off some clothes and the experience was extremely disappointing. He was not greeted on arrival, and when he approached staff, he was met with rudeness and made to feel as though his presence was an inconvenience. The staff member showed no interest until she noticed activewear, at which point she began asking about the brands. This felt inappropriate and irrelevant — the brand of the items should not determine the level of respect or service a customer receives. When my partner politely said “have a nice day” as he left, he was met with a glare and a dismissive “okay.” This level of attitude is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the store. Given that this is a charity organisation, the way this interaction was handled is even more disappointing. A charity should be welcoming, respectful, and grateful toward people who take the time to donate. Someone who treats people this way should not be representing a charity, as it goes completely against what such organisations are meant to stand for.
Can’t afford to shop here anymore. The low income earners in the community are suffering. Average price of clothing is $15 or more. I have to shop at Kmart now which defeats the purpose of supporting our local charity stores.
This used to be such a great op shop. I would be genuinely surprised if anyone is willing to pay their prices now. Tops that are marked with threads hanging out are $15 while anything half decent is $20+. You can buy a lot of these new on sale directly from that brands website. Lucky for us there are still some great op shops around to find unique pieces at actual op shop prices.
I just scored a brand new coat with the original price tags on for a fraction of the normal retail price! Yes the prices are higher than Facebook marketplace or Salvos, but there are things here you wouldn't normally find elsewhere.
