For some of the people who have written reviews. Just remember a lot of people who work in these stores (vinnies, Redcross and lifeline ) are volunteering there time . Expecting amazing customer service in a non for profit organisation isnt really a thing . Also remember if your in a vinnies Coogee, bondi or north shore suburbs like Lane Cove don’t expect everything to be at bargin basement prices. If your at the pub and the barman yells last drinks do you right a review complaining about that . I think not .
Disappointing Service Experience at Vinnies Coogee Store I recently visited Vinnies Coogee store and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with the service. No one seemed attentive or welcoming; there was a lack of eye contact and smiles. Despite spending a significant amount, especially as a stylist treating clients, the overall friendliness was severely lacking. Having visited various shops around Sydney, the Coogee store marked the third instance of unsatisfactory treatment. It's disheartening that what could have been a pleasant experience turned frustrating, making me reconsider returning in the future.
Well maintained shop mainly offering clothing items with limited brack-a-brack/decor. Seems to have had a change in the last year to a boutique wannabe which might appeal to some but not me. The display case in the front mainly features shoes/bags, while previously it had more unique vintages wares. Books in the back disappeared for a while but a section has returned. Books are often in really good condition but a much smaller section than before. Old DVD/CD section has been cleared with only a handful remaining. As with vinnies Waverley and Maroubra this vinnies has shelves with new bedding which is taking up space that could have been filled with more interesting vintage items.
Vinnies is OPENING SOON on the main street of Coogee on Coogee Bay Road right next to Maloney’s Grocer. They are a thrift store or Op-Shop filled with lots of second hand items from clothing to homewares. I’m sure it will do well considering the prime position it is located in. I will do a proper review with internal photos as soon as it opens. #letsguide #thrift #opshop
