I usually really love this op shop — they’ve had great stock and reasonable prices in the past, and I’ve found some awesome things here before. But recently I saw a camera speedlite priced at $275, which honestly shocked me. The exact same model is going for around $100–$150 on Trade Me and Marketplace. When we asked if they could lower the price, the staff said someone else comes in to price the items. I understand that, but this is meant to be an op shop for people who can’t afford retail prices, not a specialty store. The speedlite was donated for free, so marking it up above market value feels really disappointing and goes against the purpose of a charity shop.

Always friendly staff, great selection and well laid out. Sometimes kids books are a bit steep but they have specials on them quite often. Good turnover of items too

Lovely shop full of treasures! I nabbed myself a beautiful plate painted in NZ ($10), a tennis racket ($8) and squash racket ($4). Not the cheapest of op shops, but some great quality items sorted into beautiful displays and perfect for what I was after. I didn’t get the green china tea set ($25) featured below, but they are made in England and still in great condition. Would recommend for high quality china, plates, and vases - I’ll be back (maybe for the green tea set if I’m lucky!)!
