Happy to sell used fake sneakers for over half the price of a new authentic pair. Not sure I'd trust the quality of their other items now, especially given the higher prices across the board compared to Salvos a few minutes away. One evening, I saw my favourite pair of shoes (clearly used) but noticed they were off and bad quality with a closer look and feel, you'd wear through them quickly with the terribly light and thin soles. Realising they were fake, I quietly explained to the staff that these GS Green Nike Dunks they were selling for $80 were fake. I assumed they weren't aware of its inauthenticity and would do something about it, being that the shoes were so expensive for used fakes and it wasn't indicated anywhere that they were fake. I also wanted to make sure people didn't buy these shoes assuming they were real, as this store is definitely more curated and more expensive compared to the other second hand clothes in the area. The cashiers replied saying they were aware but were just selling "the aesthetics" of the shoe for $80 so it's ok. The problem is I can find the same exact shoe sold online, new and authenticated, for $100. Kinda weird for a store that receives free donated clothes and would very easily make a profit to knowingly price used fakes like this. To me, it's just disappointing they clearly think so low of their customers as to knowingly show off used fakes for sale, near the price of a new authentic pair. Since this discovery, I don't particularly trust whatever else they sell. At least if it was Salvos or another charity store, I wouldn't expect they would be aware of this since they not as curated as UTurn, and at least some of the money goes towards helping people. From my experience with the lovely people at Marrickville Salvos, they'd probably care if they priced used fakes too high. Uturn just seem happy to knowingly sell garbage for a high price to people who can't tell it is garbage for their profit. It's just the principal of selling donated clothes you received for free as a curated for-profit store, unlike a charity store. Again, the staff were nice, I'm sure it's a larger issue beyond them, but it was just a jarring experience to see a clearly curated store was not just aware, but willing to sell people used fake sneakers for near the price of a new authentic pair. Just odd. Hope the hustle is worth it though!

It was my first time visiting the store and was mostly impressed at the range of clothing available. Some clothes were stained and dirty. The staff were incredibly rude, talking about other customers, laughing with each other when I said I didn't have an account with them and glaring/rolling eyes when she was corrected for getting my friends name wrong.

I had a fab experience in the shop. The sales lady was very helpful and nice. The shop ambience was energetic. I was so happy to find some trendy clothes that I liked. I love going to U-TURN, as it is always like a treasure hunt for me. That’s why I am a loyal regular 😍

Amazing pace and glad to see that it’s made a return to Marrickville again. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to thrift for some vintage finds. They have a. Very interesting sorting system that is based on colour as opposed to size which may or may not affect your shopping experience. They have a limited range that it sort of works and they do have a round of coloured tags in which one would go on sale for half price. They have a shoe collection, jewellery are (very small cabinet), belts, accessories and glasses. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking might be challenging but it is on the main road and is a 6 min walk from Marrickville station
