Lifeline Shop Molendinar

So I was looking through the belts and when I turned the rack to spin it around it fell due to over loading it with belts and I tried to save it and got stabbed by the rack. I left to my car to get a band aid to stop the bleeding. I couldn’t find one so I went inside to ask for one. Staff were teaching kids how to stack clothes or something. I tried to ask and the manager said hang on so I asked the next lady and she started to help the the manager butted in and took over. I was not happy as it hurt quite a bit and I said something negative about the over loaded rack and the manager took it personally. We started to go at each other then the other lady came over who was so nice and understanding that I got stabbed by their recklessness. The other lady knew how to deal with the situation where as the manager just wanted to show some higher authority?? I’m the one injured by your product and she wanted to take it as if I was having a go at her A big thank you to the kind and understanding lady and a big boo to the manager. The manager came out with a band aid and wanted to help me but I didn’t want anything to do with her She should have let the other lady handle the whole situation. A bad day there for me. Manager needs to know how to handle a situation when their product has done harm and not take it personally. I said nothing about her but the rack only.

Amazing crew there. You can tell they are passionate about their work. They can get so busy being such a big store, but in the end, they always do everything with a smile and helping hand.

I called today to donate free furniture that was almost brand new and in very good condition. Unfortunately, the lady on the phone named Dona was extremely rude from the beginning of the conversation. I was honestly surprised because I was only trying to help by donating quality furniture for free. She transferred me to the warehouse line, which was fine, but the way she spoke to me was very unprofessional and disrespectful. Customer service should be polite and welcoming, especially when someone is trying to donate items to support the community. Very disappointing experience.

Disappointing Customer Service Experience I have been a loyal customer for quite some time, but I had an unfortunate encounter this morning (April 22, 2026, around 11 AM) that fell well short of the standard I’ve come to expect. The staff member at the register ( a tall woman with mousy brown hair) displayed a notably dismissive attitude throughout my visit, no hello… no talking.. in fact she was silent. When I requested to browse an item displayed behind the counter, she responded with an audible sigh of frustration and threw the coat hanger she was holding down onto the counter. Her demeanor became even more visibly irritated when I presented my $20 off coupon at checkout. While I understand that everyone has difficult days, I believe that customer-facing roles require maintaining professional composure, especially with loyal patrons. I hope the store will reflect on this interaction and reinforce the importance of courteous service for all customers. Despite this experience, I remain hopeful that this was an isolated incident, and I would consider returning if service standards are upheld consistently.

I have been a regular shopper at the Molendinar Lifeline store for the past couple of months. It started off with me needing to get out of the house due to struggles with mental health and a medical condition I have. The regular visits to the store became a lifeline for me. (Pardon the Pun) The staff which are made up of mostly volunteers and a few are paid workers, are the most friendly and compassionate people. Every week I am treated with care and I look forward to my chats with those I have become familiar with. Thank you Graham, Pete and the other lovely staff members who always go out of their way to serve the community from the goodness of their heart. I want to also mention this is the biggest Op shop I have seen in SE QLD. They have everything you can think of and majority of things are at decent prices. You may not know that the few minutes you have given to a total stranger really made a difference, made them feel heard, seen and cared for. Thank you!! Thank you for the joy you’ve brought back into my life. Visiting the store is always the highlight of my weeks. My home has so much more character to it now after all my lovely purchases.
