Unexpectedly found some awesome books here
The Red Cross Shop Sherwood is neat and tidy little store. For its size it has quite a few items. With items neatly shelved it’s easy to drop by to buy things. No rubbish items like some have. From books, clothing, CD’s and kitchen wears. Found the staff very welcoming and helpful upon arrival. I’d be happy to drop by once again!
I love op shops, however I do find this one to be overpriced. Whilst the staff appear to take pride in the store, I have found them to be unprofessional and rude to customers. This is disappointing and not conducive to the benevolent philosophy of op shops. Prue and Trude vibes, much.
This is hands down the worst op shop in the area. I’ve given it way too many chances, hoping it be better this time around, but every time I walk in now, it’s the same story: overpriced fodder and racks full of stuff that isn't worth digging through. Funny thing is, a few years ago it was actually somewhat bearable. I’d very occasionally find a decent item at a decent price. But now? It’s just gone completely downhill. Whoever’s in charge of pricing now seems to think they’re running a boutique. The thing is I wouldn’t even mind paying a bit more if the curation was half decent, but it’s not. At this point, I just want whatever the person doing the pricing is smoking, because clearly, they’re on a different planet. There are two other op shops nearby that are miles better in every way. Save yourself the disappointment and go to those instead.
Incredibly clean with high quality stock. This place is completely unaffordable, not a rummaging store and missing the 'art of the hunt' There is mainstream stock and other vintage stock at crazy prices. If you are in need or a family needing help after the floods, this shop is not the place for you. It is definitely a boutique store but I found a designer skirt at half the price at the opshop a few doors down. Instead of $50 I paid $25. On 2 occasions a large woman pushed in front of me while I was trying to view stock only to realise later she worked there. I thought that was rude and unkind. A very loud woman is heard telling other volunteers to "get me this or that quickly please". She literally talks at the top of her voice to regulars in exaggerated tones the entire time, ruining the shopping experience. Very elitist vibe. Underwhelming & unwelcoming.
