Salvos Stores Unley

Salvation Army store at Unley is a pleasant looking store. However recently, and on 2 separate occasions, I have donated a box of quality, fragile homewares. They have been carefully wrapped in bubble wrap or newspaper and I always make sure any donation I make is clean and in working order. In both instances, I was told to put donations in their bins. I refused and handed them over personally. One reason for that is the box wouldn't fit in their bin! The other is that I am wary of simply leaving good quality items in a bin outside. These women are to be admired for volunteering, but just be gracious when accepting donated items from a senior lady struggling with a heavy box. How about bothering to wheel out a sack truck? I'm pretty sure you would have one and that would assist in neither of us experiencing back strain. A "thank you very much" would be appreciated.

Very well set out store with items in both size & colour order, lots of good quality clothes for good prices. The staff are all really lovely as well. Highly recommend 😊

Small store, but well organized. Everything clean and tidy. Loads of smaller items, bric a brac, clothing with lots of Christmas decorations. Good place for gift shopping. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good call.
