The staff there are quite friendly. The pricing on the other hand, not as friendly for families. Considering they get the donations for free and are mostly staffed by volunteers, this store is one of the more expensive ones, especially if the item has a brand name. I've actually heard a manager say to new staff about how to price new stock according to the brand more than the condition of the item. This being said, they do still have some good finds and bargains but I just don't visit very much now. I do of course understand they have overheads but it is disappointing.
Good store, been going there for years. Prices are getting really expensive, they would do well to remember that they get there stock for free when pricing items. 30 bucks for a dirty pair of well worn shoes just because they are a brand name is ridiculous. Also selling boxed toys as complete without properly checking the contents is very dissapointing, we spent an hour assembling a purchased scientific build a set toy only to find parts were missing. The option to return the item for a refund is there but try telling a 10 year old that after an hour of building.
Donated some new goods and rather than a thank you for your donation, we received no conversation, it was more about the excitement of what I brought in, but not for the shop but the worker! the worker (female) wondered if she needed anymore or wanted any of it for herself which she verbalised. Even when we left no thank you have a nice day. Shocked and disappointed. Rude experience. Won't go in again.
I shop regularly at this Salvos store and find the staff especially Lisa, Lauren and volunteer Kahyla to be very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable of items in their store. The store itself is very tidy and organised and full of wonderful items that are well priced. They have a wide selection of clothing and well worth a visit if you are looking for brand names.
I shop at this store quite regularly, and I must say Lisa and Lauren are both amazing and always friendly ,as well as their great team of volunteers who are always more than happy to help. I love the variety of items that they have available for their customers and of course myself to choose from, on top of that I must compliment them on their pricing I always find amazing bargains and great little treasures. This is my favourite Salvos out of many, keep up the great work. Nicole Mitchell.
