Vinnies Maylands Shop

Small, boutique style op shop with some interesting items. Prices are definitely on the higher side, but worth it to pop in. I found a beautiful vintage top here and some plates :) Volunteers were super nice and friendly.

Not worth even popping in. It seems that prices start from $10 upwards, even for old and totally out of style clothing made of very cheap fabrics. The condition isn’t great with a fair bit of the items too. Small space, they should price lower and just get more stock through. That would also keep locals coming back to see the movement through of stock.

They weirdly follow you around the shop harassing you asking what you’re looking for? It’s an op shop i believe it’s made to browse? The man is quite odd he should let shoppers shop rather than following them around making them feel uncomfortable. Workers at Salvos 200m are a lot more friendly and let you shop how u please.

I am very regular customer at Vinnies being my neighborhood op shop and i wholeheartedly believe in supporting the local community but the volunteer today namely Brownwyn was extremely rude in front of other customers and stopped me from bringing my dog inside which i have always done in the past with permission of course. When i asked her if the policy has changed she humiliated me further. All the other staff have always been very kind and friendly and my review is for this particular experience and its a shame that my cherished local op shop have forgone values of love, compassion, and respect.

Smaller shop, not a lot of brik-a-brac but I have had some very good finds here.
