I recently visited one of my favourite op shops, St Vincent de Paul Society Rosewood, making the trip out from Brisbane as I’ve had some truly lovely experiences there in the past. On previous visits, I was always greeted by Kerrie, Mary & a lady named Ros (from memory), along with another wonderful volunteer whose name I unfortunately can’t recall. The shop under their care felt like a beautifully curated home - warm, inviting & thoughtfully put together. It was always incredibly well stocked, with racks upon racks full of hidden gems & genuine bargains just waiting to be discovered. What really stood out was the level of care & attention they gave. Kerrie once went out of her way to help me find a pair of black pants for work - she was patient, attentive & genuinely invested in helping me. That kind of service is rare. The ladies were always courteous, kind & compassionate. We shared many laughs & every visit felt personal & uplifting. It truly was a special place. Sadly, my most recent visit was a completely different experience …. I was served by a woman named Barb, whose behaviour was shockingly rude, dismissive & uninterested. When I politely asked about the previous volunteers, she responded in a way that was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful - speaking negatively about them. Hearing volunteers spoken about in that manner was uncomfortable & deeply disappointing. Her demeanour was very toxic & raising her voice a little at me. This experience felt completely misaligned with the values of St Vincent de Paul Society, which are meant to reflect compassion, dignity & respect. The store was also very quiet during my visit, which was quite sad to see given how vibrant it once felt. It felt empty too. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t be returning. I do hope management takes the time to review both customer service & the overall direction of the store, as it was once a truly special place. ****** The OLD Volunteers of Rosewood Vinnies 5/5 stars & the CURRENT Volunteers of Rosewood Vinnies 2/5 stars.

Charity shops should be flexible with their pricing, after all the people most likely to be buying their stock will be poor. This one is overpriced and remarkably inflexible.

A bit of everything! We popped in on our way back to Brisbane and found a great selection of clothes, adult and children’s books, kitchen items and more. The women’s clothing also had different sections depending what you were looking for. I came home with a few shirts, a pair of shorts, pants and some kitchen items for under $30. Great visit!

This store is not the best of the eclectic opshops and second hand shops in Rosewood. Stock here is clean well organised with high end pieces and high prices. I have found popular culture pieces at crazy cheap prices but overall this is not a rummaging store for creative's, artists or collectors. Definately missing the art of the hunt. Very good quality pieces and beautiful displays, definately boutique shopping and pretentious for a small town. There are 2 other opshops in the same st open from Wednesday's check them out at the same time as this store to get better bang for your buck. My last few visits were met by unfriendly staff but today there were some friendly people working instore and I got a few lovely bits and pieces.

This is a beautiful store filled with desirable items. The staff are helpful and friendly. It's always a lovely visit and I make purchases I'm very happy with. Another stop at the nearby Uniting Church op shop make a great Rosewood op shopping experience.
