I bought some books and some other necessities. I asked the man at the front counter with a smiley face pin if they had any cameras. They had an old film camera which I passed on, still very good quality for a good price. He talked to me about beginner camera courses he knows of and was very friendly.
Wonderful, accommodating staff. Great stock. Unusually well priced today.
The biggest second hand store I have even been to but price are little higher
This place seem rather defensive about their prices. I approached the exit after putting the items back on the shelf, quietly explaining to the check out staff that "they were a bit too expensive for me, sorry". I heard a sarcastic retort "that's YOUR opinion, but THANKYOU anyway". $6.00 for a Dav Pilkey kids book. $6.00 for 4 hair clips, $7 for a top. Unsure if this Salvos realise that customers are needed to keep a business afloat. Instead of wasting your time here, try Target, Kmart, Big W. My daughter just found a discounted brand new $6 item from TK Max. You get a better warranty under Australian law, new product, peace of mind and a more professional attitude. Sad to see the reliable environmentally friendly Aussie 2nd hand shop industry sacrificed on the alter of greed.
Utterly insane pricing. Way more expensive than antique stores. You'll actually save money if you shop at antique stores instead. $900 for a table that usually sells for $200 at high end auction houses...
