had a wonderful experience at Brotherhood of St. Laurence Mount Waverley. I bought several books at a very cheap price, some delicious chocolate, and even found a beautiful candle. The staff were very kind and helpful, which made my visit even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely come back again!
I didn’t find this gem of an op shop till the recent past . I do love the small shop front you’re bound to find something you like . A lot of fun pieces from clothing jewellery to homewares . I love the community that runs it always up for a chat or show their new items :) located close to shops and cafes a nice place to stop donate and shop !
Great little place located in Hamilton Place, Mount Waverley. It is tucked away at one end of the shopping village, next to a few cafes and a nice roadside sitting area. Always lots of interesting finds and knick knacks here and when I was there, there were people constantly coming in and out if the shop, browsing or buying things. Staff always very helpful and friendly. This community stores sells a large variety of things, from books, jigsaw puzzles, clothes, shoes, pillows, plates cutlery, wine glasses, sherry glasses, drinking glasses plus other glassware, kitchen ware, dinner sets, tea sets, children's toys, gift ware, even ironing boards and more. There is some electrical goods but the range is small. There are plenty of shops and cafes in the same shopping village, so it is convenient to come here, browse a little and have a cup of coffee, lunch or get some groceries for dinner. Around Christmas time, this community store has lots of Christmas goodies to offer and raffles are sold as well eg for gingerbread houses. Like most community stores, this is run by volunteers. The place is clean, lots of space to move around and even has a changing room for you try clothes on. It is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday hours may vary till noon.
An interesting little shop with frequent surprises. Well worth a browse. They sell electrical items as well and accept donations of electrical goods.
Nice little neat range of stock but very tight.
