Visited this store this afternoon, 30 December. The woman at the counter, hardly could be understood, playing dumb and rude after making many pricing mistakes at the Register. Rather than politely acknowledge and correct, she kept acting dumb and rudely till her Supervisor was called. Better, at this good organisation, outliners like this one, should be taught the concept of Customers Service and learn good manners first. Thanks.
Thought it was reasonably priced until I got to the counter and she over charged me.. A $4 handbag, $3 earrings and a $2 book cost me 15 bucks, she then told me to go find something else instead of refunding..
I arrived just after 1pm to drop off some donations and as the store was closed was leaving the bag outside as have done in the past and was startled by this person bursting out of the store, waving her hands at me telling me that they don't accept donations being left at the door and that I must take them back. There was no greeting and and she was incredibly rude. Given this store is a charitable organisation and today is a holy Saturday no wonder the world is such a sad place at the moment.
This store has thrown me for 6. I've shopped in here over the past few yrs and on the whole I remember always thinking how expensive it seems to be. This time I feel like pricing was reasonable. A few things here and there scratching my head over, but I was happy with what I saw. Quite alot of stock on sight with most bases covered. Ladieswear has a small boutique rack to look through. They sort clothing into sizes which is great. Not large sections because of store sizzle, but kitchenware, homewares, books etc also available. Parking onsite, is very limited if you know the area, but you can park right down the back if you don't mind a little stroll to the store.
Standard type Vinnies shop worth supporting as they exist for a good cause. Mainly second hand clothes but a sprinkle of everything. Friendly staff. Cheap prices. For an avid reader like me great value to stock up on paperbacks from $1 to $4 each.
