Excellent ANZAC remembrance display in Salvo's window 🇭🇲🇳🇿🎺🎖️🥀

Quick “drop in and look see” was rewarded with discreet and prompt service for only a modest item-wot I needed !!

Usually my favourite shop. But today when I went to drop off a donation, the bin out the front was over flowing, so I went inside to put my donation n the inside bin. As I dropped it in, I realised it was a yellow bin, not salvos bin. But as I retrieved it, I looked up at the counter, where I got the most filthiest look from the manager. Obviously she never makes mistakes...not a good example of customer service!

I went to The salvos store in Blackwood. It’s our usual Op shop. Always been really great, we’ve been greeted with good customer service until today. I got a few things and I went up to the counter, I wasn’t exactly greeted in the friendliest way, but that’s fine. I went on to ask if they would offer a hold , but before I could get my sentence out. The woman cut me off saying she doesn’t do holds, The other staff member said they could hold till the end of the day And she seemed really nice about it. But the first woman was really rude and inconsiderate for not letting me finish my sentence. If she had let me speak, and then said no that would be absolutely understandable. Instead, I felt judged and extremely uncomfortable. For an op shop, you would think the workers would want to help people and respond kindly at the very least. I don’t mind that we couldnt put our things on hold, more so the way I felt instantly looked down upon. I ended up declining the hold, putting everything back and leaving. I won’t be shopping there any longer because of the judgemental staff members.

I double checked the price of a jigsaw puzzle as it was priced at $15, and that was the RRP for a new one online. I was met with a rude attitude that id have to pay postage for online and that was the correct price. I have previously bought puzzles from other salvos stores for $5 and $7. Was dissappointed with the attitude I was met with and drove to red cross blackwood, and purchased a larger puzzle for $7 that was brand new. Will not return to blackwood salvos. Would also be good if the same chain of op shops priced their products at similar price points, it appears to be left to the discretion and opinion of individual stores.
