They sometimes have some nice stuff, but the prices are insane. Poor people deserve to have nice things!
I went into the shop the other day and spotted a younger female worker running new stock onto the floor. I spotted some jeans she had that I was keen to try on but waited till she would put them onto the rack. However, I see her take them back to the staff area. I ask her when she came back out where those jeans were. She very awkwardly tells me they are where the rest of the jeans are. She later comes back to ask if I found them when I tell her I actually saw her take them round the back earlier, described them, then asked if I could try them on. She laughs and says she is keeping them for herself… there should really be a policy against this or you will loose customers when the employees take all the good items. No wonder there hasn’t been anything good for a while. Not to mention the pricing is incredibly expensive for donated items… come on
A little op shop nestled amoungst retail in inner Melbourne where you can come to find quality products for fraction of retail prices
I came in here excited by the new store. I needed a new work jacket. However I noticed most items did not fit me- I'm about a size 16. I noticed the one jacket I squeezed into was $70. There is one small rack that is 16+ with very little on it. Most of the store is not for anyone else above a size 15. I felt embarrassed and actually quite irritated.
Sacred Heart Fitzroy North is something special. It's packed with quality stock that has a range of price points... everything from $2 scrummage bin to designer labels. The homewares section has an awesome range, and adult books are lovingly curated. Be sure to check out Adrian's spaceship wagon to view the legacy of a loved volunteer. Whether for need or pleasure, make a visit to this very charity minded shop top of your Fitzroy day.
