Nice and clean shop but the prices are insane for a Red Cross. Being in the location it is in I wasn’t it is being treated more as a boutique than an op shop. The ladies behind the counter were also talking badly about customers once they left the store.
I went in and found a plain black t shirt. Priced 20$, When I went to the counter the tag had dropped somewhere, I was going to be charged $30! It was a Zara t, but I am not dishonest and the server was adamant it was 30- without the tag, as she had to go and ask some out the back what to charge for it. I then stopped looking for the tag and certainly did not purchase, due to the principle.
I get that you are a charity and that the charity does great things with the money it makes but seriously, the prices on basic brands like sportsgirl etc are extortionary. Marking up designer items makes sense and I think people can understand that but I've seen old t shirts and knits (talking vintage old but not in a good way) from basic stores marked up. Your racks would be a lot more manageable and easier to browse if they weren't so full of over priced merch!! This has to be the most over priced op shop in Perth.
This is my favourite oppie. It's DAM expensive for an oppie - but there are usually garments in here that are top quality from excellent brands. Almost every item is steamed before it is hung up and everything is neat and orderly. It's not a 'treasure hunt' experience like many others, it's a way to get top quality items for cheaper.
Shocked with the prices?! $48 for a little china bowl, $68 for a shirt! The ladies did not once greet me, they only seemed to greet and talk to white rich looking women. And just for the poor customer service I put a shirt back and thought stuff ya! I feel like this day and age, with the cost of living, it’s absolutely cruel to be ripping people off like this in a thrift shop. Should be ashamed for charging those ridiculous prices.
