Really expensive salvos store, and the sales assistant was arrogant and rude~ even when an item had 2 stickers - a $3 & a $5 sticker, she refused to change it to $3, and charged me $5. Just as well she had no idea about the actual value of the Carlton Ware gravy jug and boat, in yellow, and i would have preferred to pay $3, but considering it's worth close to $150, i can live with $5. But like so many salvos and vinnies stores, trying to sell Anko items for up to 5 times the brand new price at Knart, these op shops are so ridiculously overpriced and ignorant to actual prices, values and realistic expectations of what customers are prepared to pay, and I'm always ok with asking if they can do a better price, especially considering I spend a lot at these places when i shop there. But I'll also say, no thanks, at that price I'll leave it. And do this a lot if it's astronomically overpriced. However, i was at Burnside/Deer Park salvos the other day - finally a salvos with some intelligent ideas. Everything, no matter what it was, is a specific price, ie, long sleeve tops $4, dresses [ even after 5 wear ] $7, boots $10. Got some great leather boots, new, orthopaedic insole, $10!

A really large store with loads of stock. I like the boutique-like racks at the entrance that really put you in the mood. The prices are creeping up, but the stock is better quality. There’s so much stock that you’ll always find some bargain in there. (Hello Zara beaded military vest for $7!). The staff in this store are consistently lovely and friendly. For the size of this store, they should build a third change room. But I still love shopping there.
