An absolutely exquisite Op shop, where I always find lovely clothes. I scored this Forever New formal dress, brand new with tags for $30. I had so many compliments when I wore it to a recent black tie function at work. And I’m getting double joy, because I’m wearing it to my niece’s wedding next month. This shop had some beautiful dresses the day I visited.
Springvale Salvos is a spacious store with a large clothing, books, and shoe section. There's a surprisingly large amount of manchester, which is a bit overpriced... quilt covers double quilt covers at $23- see photo. The shop floor is rather messy, and books are dusty. Staff are generally friendly. Located next to Coles and Spotlight.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly place to explore on the weekend, Salvos Op Shop in Springvale is a great option. This store is perfect for those who love thrift shopping and has almost everything—from clothes and kitchenware to furniture and books. Books on Sale – A Paradise for Book Lovers One of the best things about this Salvos store is its huge book section, offering a wide variety of genres. The best part? They often have discounts of up to 50%, making it easy to find good books at very low prices. Spacious Store with Plenty of Choices • Clothing: You’ll find everything from jackets, scarves, jeans, and dresses neatly arranged. • Household Items: Plates, cups, glasses, and even home decor are available. • Furniture & Electronics: You can find tables, chairs, shelves, and even TVs or second-hand appliances. A Fun and Relaxing Weekend Spot On hot weekends, when my child wants to go out but I don’t have a specific place in mind, I often stop by this store. It’s spacious, air-conditioned, and full of interesting things to browse. Even if you don’t buy anything, just looking around can be a fun and relaxing experience.
Springvale or Sandown Salvos Store is located at the corner of Springvale Rd & Princes Hwy. There's a handy Car park opposite Coles & Spotlight. First thing, this Salvos store is jammed full of stuff! 😆👍 If you're into Curated, well manicured, trendy, UpMarket Salvos Stores, this is NOT one of them. Instead Springvale Salvos is an eclectic mix, of items, a bit like a Turkish Bazaar and the Window Displays 🛍️ are always quirky & fun attracting your curiosity, as to what might be in the shop, as you pass by. You just never know what you may find. I like shopping here and to date I've had fun with my visits & purchased the following : Kimono authentic Japanese 👘 $28 Dancing Cactus $5 Plaid Vintage Coat $2 Plaid Green/Blue pants $3.50 Vintage Scandi cardigan $2 Retro Y2K Handbag $9 👜 NB: the store space isn't too accommodating for parents with prams or anyone with wheelchairs or mobility issues, as there isn't a lot of space to move around. Probably the Noble Park Salvos store, a short drive down Princes Hwy is more spacious. Speaking of prices, as others have commented, the prices not just here also at other Salvos can be high, albeit Mondays they have selected $2 racks and 50% off selected coloured tags each week. Personally I try to organise my Op-Shopping around those discount days, but I can understand Not Everyone has that option/availability to shop Mondays or 20% off Thursdays or whatever... We donate items for FREE with the expectation & wish to provide an OPPORTUNITY to those who need it, to be able to buy what they cannot afford in a Retail Shopping Centre. That's why it's called an Opportunity Shop, for goodness sake! Salvos Can We please PUT back the OP [opportunity] into OP SHOPs (modest prices) for those in our community who do need & rely on OpShops. 🛒🛍️ 🌻THANKs 🥰
