Very expensive 4 a op shop, it was very clean & tidy, bit boring but did have a few nice things, staff were mostly friendly but 1 was extremely rude, def won't b back...grrrr
So overpriced. $15-20 for old second hand dresses. Such a shame. Edit - I understand that money raised from charity shops go towards charity. However I believe op shops are also a place for those in need within the community to purchase items at a fair and affordable price (especially considering items are donated - ie.free for the store).
Found this store totally over priced. They wanted 15.00 for a vase that had been glued back together. Compared to the other thrift stores in Portland give it a wide miss
Extremely over priced head down to Percy st much better op shops along there , will never visit again
Expensive. Jeans $8-$25 Staff member approached a lady who was sitting on an office chair by the door (waiting for husband who was looking in the shop) and tells her if she wasn't buying it she could sit outside. The lady asked if she would take $5 for the chair (marked at$8) and the staff member replied that things were priced to make money to save other people's lives, and while it might not be hers, that was that. Come back in 2 weeks and if it's still here I might mark it down. The attitude was clearly intimidating to the customer. I walked past to look at said chair. It was $8 and stained. Anyway, then the staff member went out the back and told the other staff all about it, making out that the customer was really rude for sitting there, and cheeky for asking for a discount. I almost said something, but decided to say it here. It's this kind of attitude that puts me off a shop like this for life. A bit of compassion, and choosing your battles (was it really that important to belittle a customer) goes a long way.
