Looks like the boss has changed since I came here last. The last one was cranky. I was within earshot of her swearing as she picked something up. The staff also talk about how much they had made that day. Yes, I understand they are pleased but in front of a shopper? Btw, they had made $3000 that particular day. No wonder. Prices have increased so much. I found a brand new item here that charged $15 while it was $5 at Riverwood store. Same item still brand new with tags. Hurstville and Mortdale have become more about money making rather than an op shop. I saw a man sadly shake his head when he could’t afford a pair of shoes. U turn is better value for money. 3 items for $25 whereas at this store you might only get one!

First time visiting Vinnies Mortdale and was pleasantly surprised. The girl working was so sweet and really friendly! Gave a really positive experience as i browsed the store. There were some really unique home decor items, however some prices are a bit hit and miss. Regardless, it’s a very well curated and tidy OpShop. Will definitely be coming back!

Disappointing pricing for a charity store. I usually love visiting Vinnies, but the Mortdale store has become really expensive lately. The clothing etc is donated for free, so it’s disheartening to see such high prices — especially when these items are meant to be affordable for the community. It would be great to see the pricing reflect the true spirit of a charity shop again, so more people can benefit.

I visited Mortdale St Vincent de Paul today to donate two bags of clothes and some artwork. The access via the back lane made it easy to park and unload. We were welcomed by a staff member. She was very friendly and helpful. Very happy to donate to our local store.
