We visited the South Perth Reuse Shop this morning. The store itself was fairly clean and had a good variety of items, which we appreciated. However, the layout is quite tight, with many breakables in close proximity, making it difficult to browse comfortably. Our main concern was at the checkout. Pricing appeared inconsistent and arbitrary. A set of six children’s plastic stepping stones, clearly a single set, was counted and charged as six separate items. In addition, children’s books were priced higher than adult books! The issue wasn’t the price itself, but the principle. When pricing seems random or inconsistent, it undermines confidence in the store. Clear, fair, and transparent pricing would greatly improve the experience.
The new tip shop is really great! So many great items from garden tools and books through to clothes and art. The staff are really friendly and helpful too.
