I was visiting Hobart for a short trip and would’ve loved to spend more time browsing, but the odour made it difficult to stay for long, even with the doors open for ventilation. It’s otherwise a lovely op shop in a great location with friendly staff and a fantastic range of items. Hopefully the smell issue can be looked into, as it would make the experience much more enjoyable.
Unfortunately, the store smells really bad. Came in as short visit to Hobart. I would have stayed longer to browse, but the odor is very pungent, even with the doors open letting fresh air in. Lovely op shop and great location. Please do something about the smell.
Community Service announcement:What is that smell? There is an awkward conversation that needs to be had with several members of the staff here. As a passionate thrift gal…as an op shop this is highly ranked. However I suggest that the staff have the courage to have a chat with that staff member who is always wearing the exact same polyester shirt every time i come and smells to high heaven. Yes, i know you are all volunteering and I appreciate that but understand that we all don’t carry around vicks or peppermint oil in our handbags and feel assaulted by the smell. With all the donations I suggest this staff member PLEASE get a new shirt and wash it and themselves every day. Thanks for helping those with sensitive 👃
What a great store! Beautiful building and a huge range of clothes. Everything is set out beautifully. The racks are well labeled so you can go directly to what you need. There is even a “new with tags” rack. The prices are so reasonable. Well done Salvos!!
nice shop! very central and they have a lot of options. everything is organized and well marked. decent prices in my opinion. if you look closely you might be able to find some brand new clothes for super cheap prices like i did 😎😎
