Always great finds at Chatswood Salvos: nice crockery, home decorations, plenty of clothes. And this time a number of violins! Dana’s team is warm and welcoming. Lovely sight seeing Barbara, an elderly shopper, being served coffee and cookies, enjoying her cuppa in a comfy armchair right by the shoe section. Such a lovely touch!

I visited on a Friday afternoon, the store was not busy during the time. It was clean and organised and there were a couple of staffers on the floor. My friend sat in a chair while I tried on a couple tops in the changing room. With each top I came out to dressing room to show my friend and ask her opinion. When I finished I opened the curtain and there was a staffer standing right in front of the changing room curtain. I was taken abit aback as I hadn’t seen her before I went in there. She asked if everything was alright and I said yes they fit. This made me feel abit weird because I was there trying on clothes and I didn’t have a personal bag with me when I entered the store just my phone & keys. So I’m not sure where they thought I would hide or steal a shirt. Anyways I get to the till to pay and the older lady there has got a miserable look on her face, I’m looking around the display seeing if there was anything of interest to me and within those couple mins she did not say hello of acknowledge me at all. After paying I wasn’t sure if the paper that came out the machine was my receipt and I asked for it and she tapped the clothes hanger in her hand on it and said “It’s there”. So during this store visit those 2 things made me not enjoy my experience hence it’s a 2* for me, and that’s based on the store cleanliness NOT the customer service. Do Better!
