Stopped into the Red Cross Op Shop on Chapel Street while exploring the area and found it to be a decent-sized store with plenty to browse. The shop is located on a busy stretch of Chapel Street and has a good mix of clothing, shoes, handbags, books, homewares, and the occasional interesting vintage find. It's the sort of place where you can spend a while looking through the racks because there's always something different to discover. That said, the pricing was a bit inconsistent. Some items seemed fair, while others felt surprisingly expensive for an op shop. For example, I spotted a Furphy cap priced at $8, even though those were originally given away as promotional items, and a Moschino sweater marked at around $40. There were definitely a few items where the price tag made me do a double take. Despite that, there were still plenty of interesting pieces throughout the store, and with a bit of patience you can find some good bargains among the higher-priced items.
It's got some nice selections of stuff but it does just appear to be a little bit more upper priced. I walked away with two shirts- one tee and one hard yacka shirt, and it cost me $33. The staff were lovely though and they let the doggo come in which is lovely too
Love the shop but why suffocating Kermit the Frog? What did he ever do to you?🤣
