Donated a few hundred dollars in toys, including some brand new stuff and lego. I didn't expect the ground I walked on to be worshipped for making a donation, but just a smile and a thank you would have been appreciated. Otherwise the store is good, but only supporting because of the affiliation with Cat Haven after this experience.

Buyers, it’s your responsibility to check over each item before you pay for it at any op shop. The staff simply can’t refund you, there’s often not even an option on the til to do it. Once it’s sold, it’s sold. You wouldn’t buy something from Facebook Marketplace, find a fault with it and attempt a return. It’s all on the buyer to do the checks first. Not sure the Australian laws around this but it’s just common sense. If you’re buying from shops for new, that’s when we expect buyer protection. Second hand items are going to have flaws. Volunteers will try to find flaws before putting it out for sale but there’s a huge amount of donations to process daily.
