I’ve been visiting vinnies Mascot almost every week, and I’ve always liked this store. The product range is great, and usually the staff give customers space to browse which I really appreciate. But I want to share something that happened today(Mon 17 November 2025)9.30 in morning. This isn’t personal, and I’m not writing this out of anger. I genuinely want this store, which I often visit, to keep getting better. I had only been inside for around five minutes when I found a pair of shoes I liked. I picked it up because I planned to check out later. At that moment, one staff member came to me and asked, “You wanna grab that?” I replied, “I think so, I like it.” But immediately after that, he called another staff member and told them I was ready to check out even though I never said that. To give proper context: I was standing in the book section when this happened. For people familiar with the store, the book section is at the very back deep inside, and far away from the checkout area or the exit. I wasn’t standing near the counter, I wasn’t close to the door, and I wasn’t heading out. I was literally still browsing inside.So being approached and pushed to check out at that spot felt extremely unusual.Honestly, the whole moment threw me off. It made me feel rushed and pressured, and it instantly killed my mood to buy the shoes. I ended up putting them back and leaving.Again, nothing personal toward the staff. I live around Mascot and come here almost weekly because I genuinely like the store. That’s exactly why I hope this doesn’t happen again not just to me, but to anyone. It felt similar to shopping in a supermarket: you pick something up, you’re still walking around, you’re clearly not done, and suddenly someone tells you to check out immediately. It just doesn’t feel right. I’m sharing this with good intentions and hope it’s taken with a good heart. Thank you.

Really expensive prices. Most of the stuff there I could get new for a similar price. Don’t know how the justify it at all.
