Port Mall has some really nice stores in the complex. Woolworths is fantastic along with Big W. Good to see Bakers Delight also. Lots of little store with special little gift ideas.

Port Adelaide Plaza is a clean, modern and much-improved local mall with a great Woolies and a growing range of stores. A solid shopping spot for the area. A really nice addition to the Port Adelaide area and miles ahead of the old port mall. Shops and Variety (4/5): The standout is definitely the new Woolworths, which is the biggest in Australia and a huge drawcard. The plaza has a good mix of shops overall and it’s getting busier as more people start using it. It is missing some top tier retail options though, especially tech. No JB Hi-Fi or equivalent means you still need to head to West Lakes for certain items. Atmosphere (4/5): Feels new, clean and well maintained. It has a fresh, modern vibe and is easy to walk around. You can tell the area is on the rise and the plaza really reflects that. Convenience (4/5): Having a proper mall in the heart of Port Adelaide is incredibly handy. Plenty of parking and all your essentials in one place. A great improvement for locals. A solid mall that has lifted the whole area. Still room to grow with more major retailers, but what’s there is good and getting better. A clean, modern plaza that adds real value to Port Adelaide and shows how far the suburb has come.

Except for 3 Westfield shopping centres in South Australia, I wondered if there are only a few medium size shopping malls. I always visit Burnside Village, even not too big, just because it's close proximity to my home. I haven't visited Colonnades Shopping Centre and Elizabeth City Centre yet, though they are bigger regional shopping centres. This was because they are quite far from my place. Today, I visited this Port Adelaide Plaza without well planned in advance. What a surprise that this is quite a nice medium sized local shopping mall. It looked pretty new, perhaps it had been renovated 3 to 5 years ago. There were around 60 shops and 17 restaurants. The shop combination was great. The big players include Big W and Aldi, and the upcoming new players include Woolworths and Tony & Mark's, which will be opened in late July / August 2025. Westfield West Lakes is not too far from Port Adelaide. Happy to see that there is such a sizable and decent shopping mall that can perform so well and can survive in this little Adelaide market.
