Salvos Stores Prahran

I love the new store! It's bright, fresh and vibrant, and it's the same Salvos from Windsor .... but now in a prime location on Chapel Street, Prahran. While not all of the staff from the Windsor store have transitioned to this one, (sad face), the staff are great. They're easy to talk to and best of all they love my dog! Best of luck for this new store.

Now here is a very interesting upgrade to the Prahran Salvos store format that no one ever saw coming here?! I have my myself been going to Salvos stores since 1988 and I've seen every upgrade/move for over 38 years all over the Prahran district. For over that time, this is the 4th time they have moved here and might be the "freshest" store they have ever done?! What first hits you when you enter the store is how bright the store interior is, it's very bright and semi an 80's store Kmart/Target or even a Coles/Fossey's vibe to it. This way cool as it's vibe reminds me of these chain stores of the 1980/90's here which I really like. The remnants of the old store was too dark, dreary or depressing but it was a by-product of it's time and maybe a abit too further out?! The location is real prime now that it's nearer to Coles, opposite side the newly open/rebuilt Rebel (which also surprised me?!) and it's really not that far from Prahran Central either. It's upmarket location, vibe and new but retro old school look will surely help it now beat out the likes of the other franchises like Vinnies or Sacred Heart which will probably have to get their act together and believe me, they HAVE noticed the Salvos new look and location here! Looks like the Salvos store in Prahran will now reclaim it's rightful and former status again in a otherwise fickle, trendy if highly unstable shopping market strip that is Prahran here?! This might be one of the best looking and asphetically pleasing Salvos around the Port Phillip/Bayside area here?!....
